Our Ugly House Renovation - Update #2

In the last couple weeks, we have continued to make progress on the house. Demo was finished, all crown molding, trim, doors and wall paper were removed. We had the plumbing checked out and fixed where necessary, as well as the electrical work. With every week, we are getting more and more anxious about moving into the house.

Enjoy some of the work via pictures.

No more chair rail or STINKY carpet!!!!
We were able to see the original tile in the master that was under the slate.
Yay for new plumbing!
Brick wall gone, new island opening is there!
Wall put up and eventually there will be bar stools here
NO MORE WALLPAPER -- white has never looked so good
And look, the grass is green and growing
Grow baby grow
All old shower tile is gone too
Bathroom demo is complete

I can't wait to see what is coming up this week. I picked up paint samples today so we can start deciding what color to paint the interior of the house.

Hm, looks like you've got a ton of work ahead of you guys. Still, the grass is getting greener and work is getting done, right? It's a bit much to call the house ugly, but when it's finished it will be surely a nice house for you to live in! Good luck, and enjoy the home you will build!
