Leaving on a jet plane -- and FOR FREE!!!!

So, I have mentioned this one hundred times....but I work for the best company out there.  They love and care for their employees in COUNTLESS ways!!

Well, Texon won a sweepstakes through Avis Rental Car because we are on their corporate rental plan thing-y.  Well as the winner, Texon won 2 round trip flights on Southwest ANYWHERE in the US, and two nights at ANY Omni in the US plus an Avis rental car for the weekend.  Texon, being the amazing company that it is, decided to raffle off the prize to one of Texon's employees.  So, on Thursday morning, they did a drawing and guess.who.won ?!?!?!

Yes, that is right, ME!!!!!

And guess where we are going......

Start spreading the news....I'm leaving today.  I want to be a part of it, New York, New York.

I have NEVER been to NYC and it is one of those places I ONLY want to experience with Alex.  I don't know why, but I want to see it and visit it together!  If you know me at all, you know that this is a place I have always wanted to go, but life happens and we decide to go visit my extended family or Alex's Mom or we decided on a group trip that was destined to go elsewhere, so this trip ALWAYS gets pushed to the back burner.  So much so, that last fall when we were heading to Disney/Bogota, we discussed trying to do NYC/Bogota, but it didnt really work out.  I told Alex "next year for christmas, we are going to NYC as long as we can save up the money after moving into the house."

Well, now we can go for a fraction of what we would  have spent before!!!!!  I can't wait!!  Plus, I have had so many people congratulate me at work and then tell me I better use it for something good!!  Will do!!

It just makes me want to squeal!!

That being said, I need your NYC suggestions!  We are either going to go in October, November or December.  Great places to eat...which broadway shows are best.....stupid things to avoid....best street vendors....best shopping.....etc etc etc

I DO think I want to see Matilda for sure!  I LOVE Broadway, so I am open ears, but Matilda is definitely at the top of my list.  Maybe the Rockettes one night too...I fear we will run out of time before we run out of my to do list. :)

Thank you Texon!!!

OMG! I love NYC. Personally, I think you should go in December. Yeah, it'll be cold, but OMG....Christmas in New York. You can see all of the lights, the Macy decorations, the TREE. Rockefeller Center. The possibilities are endless. Super excited for y'all.
