What have I been up to???

The last few weeks have gone by so fast. Those kinds of weeks where you are constantly busy, but then can't really remember getting anything done. Well lately, Alex has been traveling a lot for work, so I have been getting in some good quality girl time. Plus, since the weather is starting to warm up, I am running a LOT more. I just love to run. This week I have been a slacker, but I plan to make up for it tonight...that is if it is not raining. :(

Alex and I go on a Triple Date with The Haskews and The Westbury's about once every other month or so. So far we have done it twice and went to Chuy's both times. I am not sure if we will ever change the location - at least up until the Westburys move to South Africa. No where else serves Creamy J.

Here are the Haskews at our last Triple Date

And the Westburys - nice Josh. :)

Two weekends ago we had a Girl's Weekend at my parent's house. Erika and I laid out for ONLY 4 hours on Saturday and got ridiculously burnt. We are still peeling. Erika's legs got so burnt, we had to try out home remedies to cure the pain. Erin has a picture of me spraying Erika down with Apple Cider vinegar. It was a very relaxing weekend.

Spencer laid out with us on Saturday. There was no humidity, so in the shade it was nice and cool. I made him a little tent out of a lawn chair and my jacket. Erika can vouch that I pampered him WAY too much that weekend. :)

Erin and Jenny came, along with Kaitlyn, Jenny's daughter. Here is the precious sweetie!

I have been so blessed to meet some great women in Houston through our bible study. It is a very genuine group of women, seeking to serve the Lord through our everyday lives. Thanks for the great weekend girls!! Gotta do it again sometime.

Last weekend, Alex had a couple graduation parties and I had one as well, so we saw very little of each other. Friday night, while Alex was at his first party, I decided to hang out with my neighbor/work out partner Sam since her hubby was out of town too. It ended up being SUCH a FUN night. We went running at memorial...it was a REALLY good run, hard and hot as all get out!!! Afterwards we went to Central Market and got sushi and salads and frozen yogurt. We went back home and watched a great chick flick.

This movie was SO cute. We watched it on her rooftop terrace. It was really fun. Nice to be outside and just relax.

Saturday I went to Jenn's graduation party. I plan to write a whole post about this girl sometime in the near future, so watch out for that. :) She is a wonderful girl and I am so blessed to have her as a friend.

Congrats on graduating Jenn!! I know the Lord is going to use you in wonderous ways, just like he already has!!! I am so proud of the woman to have become.

This weekend is not going to slow down at all. Alex gets back from Florida tomorrow night and Saturday morning BRIGHT and EARLY we are heading to Corpus Christi for the Beach to Bay Marathon Relay.

I am on a team with some of my co-workers. I am running the last leg, which is supposed to be beautiful according to Servando. Each member runs around 4.5 miles, so I am hoping I can run that in the humidity of Corpus. We shall see....

You may be asking why we are driving up and back in one day (or you may not care)....but the reason we are doing so is because we are also going to Corpus NEXT weekend for Memorial Day. You see back in January I was telling Erika about Beach to Bay. At the time, I thought it was on Memorial Day weekend. Erika suggested we rent a beach house for the weekend. The guys can fish and we can lay out. GREAT plan!!! Well it was until I realized the race was ACTUALLY on Armed Forces Day, and not Memorial Day. (easily confused I guess) Oh well, Alex is being a sport and driving with me on Saturday so I don't have to go alone.

Anyways, that is my long overdue update. Have a wonderful weekend!!

Wow - you are SUPER busy girl. Sounds like the good kind of busy though! Have a great run this weekend!

We are super excited about the house, but nervous too. Sander reminds me that it is God's house, so no worries, He has it covered. But, it looks like He will be using us to do all the cleaning, repairs for the next few weeks. ; ) Thanks for the post!

Ha ha ha! Its so funny...I see you at least once weekly and talk to you almost daily, yet I have still been searching your blog waiting for a more detailed update than what book you are reading...hahahaha!
