You are looking at the NEWEST CPA on the block!!

I just found out that I passed the LAST section of the CPA!!! This has been such a LONG process and I am SO relieved that it is O-V-E-R!!!

Here is a little background for you. In order to be a accountant, you have to have your CPA liscense (similar to a BAR exam for lawyers). There are 4 sections and you have 18 months from when you pass your first section to pass the other 3 sections.

Well I started taking the CPA in April of 2006, my senior year.(i.e. had to pass all 4 by the end of November 2007) I passed 2 of the 4 prior to starting work at PwC ibn July of 2006. Work was extrememly busy from the get go and with wedding planning, I had little to no time to study. So I took a break from the CPA until after our wedding in march. I figured this would leave me ample time to finish my last 2 sections, leaving the "easiest" section for last.

I passed my third section in May as planned, but failed the last section in August. This meant I had to re-take the exam in October or early November and pray that I passed. If not, I would lose 2 of the 3 sections I had ALREADY passed due to the time constraint.

But, I did all I could and knew the information backwards and forwards. Normally before going into my exams I pray this prayer "Lord, please let me test up to my potential." This time, I prayed "God, please let it be enough."

And praise the Lord, it was!! He gave me the focus and obedience to study and to Him be the glory for the good result!!! My family has been so supportive and we have all been impatiently waiting for the score....my mom and I expecting the worst!

My Dad asked me what I am going to do with my free time now that the CPA is over and Scott and Amanda are off and married...and i told him....go Christmas CRAZY!! Decorations, presents, family time, food!! I LOVE THIS TIME OF YEAR!!
